WATERLOO, Ind. (WFFT) - Waterloo is moving to the next step for its downtown revitalization project.

The town is working with Ball State graduate students on the project.

The students recommended several projects the community can do to bring more people to town.

At the top of the list is a a community center and restaurants in the former Hearts Grocery Store.

"We do have a lot of visitors that come to town. I think the next step is going to give those visitors and our residents the services and the goods they need," said Tena Woenker, Waterloo town manger.

The Ball State students will submit their final report next month.

Woenker hopes to get started on some of the projects by the end of the year.
