Five thousand homes and businesses without power in Northeast Fort Wayne

A failure at a substation has cut power to 5,000 homes and businesses in Northweast Fort Wayne.

Fort Wayne, Ind. (WFFT) - A failure at a substation has cut power to 5,000 home, businesses and traffic signals in Northeast Fort Wayne.

Indiana Michigan Power says they have crews at the substation and are investigating what caused the outage.

Power is expected to be restored around 7:30pm.
