FORT WAYNE, Ind (WFFT) - If the weather wasn't a sign that fall is here, leaf collection certainly is.

On Monday, the City of Fort Wayne began annual leaf collections throughout the area. Crews made their way through neighborhoods with heavy machinery clearing the roads of leaves and other debris.

The crew will work weekly from now until December 1st to collect the fallen foliage. You are encouraged to bring your leaves to the the edge of your yard, but you are asked not to pile them in the streets, as they could cause a hazard for other drivers.
