Two Men from New York Arrested on Marijuana Charges in LaGrange County

41 year old Aljameen Vogelsang and his passenger, 22 year old Nyjuan E. Rainey were taken into custody without incident and incarcerated in the LaGrange County Jail on drug charges.

(LaGrange County, IN)-Troopers from the Indiana State Police Toll Road Post arrested two men from Buffalo, New York late Monday night on marijuana-related charges following a traffic stop for a traffic violation on the Indiana Toll Road.

According to Trooper Aaron Meyer, at approximately 11:00 p.m. he observed a Ford passenger vehicle traveling eastbound in the area of the 118 mile marker allegedly in excess of the posted limit and exhibiting driving behaviors  associated with those of an intoxicated driver.

After the traffic stop, and during his interaction with the occupants of the vehicle, Meyer smelled what he believed to be the odor of marijuana. He summoned assistance from Officer Nick Dubea from the LaGrange Police Department and his K-9 partner Jax.

During the subsequent search of the vehicle, four bags of suspected marijuana were located in the trunk. The driver, 41 year old Aljameen Vogelsang and his passenger, 22 year old Nyjuan E. Rainey were taken into custody without incident and incarcerated in the LaGrange County Jail on the following preliminary charges:

Visiting a Common Nuisance
