FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) — The Allen County Coroner’s Office has identified the two men who were killed in a crash late last week.
The two men were involved in a crash that took place in the 4000 block of West Dupont Road, in Fort Wayne just after 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 16.
The coroner identified the men as 48-year-old Timothy David Williams and 45-year-old Jason Michael Avila both of Huntertown.
Authorities said Williams was a passenger in a vehicle that left the road and crashed into a tree.
Avila was a passenger in the same vehicle and was ejected from the vehicle.
Both men were pronounced dead at the scene by Huntertown EMS.
For both Williams and Avila, their cause of deaths were ruled to be multiple blunt force injuries due to motor vehicle crash, and the manner of death is an accident.
Williams is the 27th traffic fatality and Avila is the 28th traffic fatality for Fort Wayne and Allen County in 2020.
This crash remains under investigation by authorities in Allen County.
