15-year-old boy dead after Euclid Avenue Shooting

A teen is now dead after police say he was shot near Euclid Avenue. (WFFT)

FWPD confirmed that the victim was a 15-year-old boy. The shooting happened on the 2800 block of Euclid Avenue shortly after 7 p.m.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) —  Fort Wayne police are investigating a shooting that left a teenage boy dead Wednesday night on the city's southeast side.

FWPD confirmed that the victim was a 15-year-old boy.

UPDATE: The boy was identified by the coroner Thursday. 

The shooting happened on the 2800 block of Euclid Avenue shortly after 7 p.m.

This is the second shooting in the area of Euclid Avenue in as many months.

Another boy was shot inside his home last month.

It is unclear at this time if the shootings are connected.

The coroner will identify the victim at a later time once the family is notified.

This incident remains under investigation.
