FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - If you've ever wanted to throw something at the wall, you're in luck.
That's exactly what you can do at Deadeye Dick's Axe Throwing.
Jennifer Rao and her husband recently opened the axe throwing arena.
It's something they experienced and knew the Summit City needed one.
"Fort Wayne definitely needs an axe throwing room," Rao said. "People are tired I think of old school entertainment. They want the newest hottest thing. And movies and bowling just aren't cutting it anymore. So we wanted to bring something fun, and safe and entertaining to the city."
If you've never thrown an axe before, it's not problem.
You'll be taught how to properly and safely do it.
Rao says it's really something exciting that everybody can do.
"When you're able to throw an axe and stick it, you get quite an adrenaline rush," Rao said. "It's a lot of fun. It does build up a sweat, so there's a little bit of a workout involved with it too, but it's fun. It's a lot of fun, it gives you quite a rush."
Rao says so far the community's reception to the axe throwing concept has been good.
They've had corporate events, people on date nights, and are even planning an axe throwing league.
Their end goal is a unique way for people to have fun.
"Hopefully it sets the bar for a new form of entertainment in the area," Rao said. "We have a lot going on in our city. We bring a lot of people from the surrounding states and from the small communities around us. So we hope that people will embrace it and enjoy it and hopefully make it a new thing that they do on a regular basis and maybe not just one time."
