FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - A new website that just launched last week in the summit city aims to change the way you shop and make you think twice about the products in your home.
If you care about the environment, social justice, or economic equality, Tommy Cutter says you're a sustainable thinker.
"Shruti came to me with the idea, a few months ago, of a website that sold sustainable products and educated people about sustainability through video."
Cutter says he's the man behind the tech side of things. The website, sustainablethinkers.com, launched last Friday, and operates as an online store for multiple brands.
"People can buy products that are either sourced sustainably, made sustainably or support a cause that is sustainable in some way."
That means buying the products could provide a job for someone, plant a tree with every purchase, or help the planet in some other way.
"In the future we might not have a choice to not be sustainable because we need to do everything we can to save the planet environmentally, so I think that aspect of it is important."
Cutter says the goal is to replace items in your home with something sustainable off their website, whether it be this biodegradable kids toy, this yoga mat made of recycled wet suits, or these food huggers to keep your fruit fresh.
"Some of our products are up-cycled or recycled, so that's one aspect of sustainability for sure."
Now all there is to do is go to their website, learn about some of the products, and start shopping.
