Not only is the new restaurant known for its burgers, but it's also environmentally friendly too.
"When I started Catableu in 1998, I wanted to bring the best possible products. The freshest possible products to my customers.”
Mike Catalogna was excited when he discovered Burger Fi on a trip to florida.
"And I'm eating this burger and I was totally blown away. And two days later I went back to the store, looked at the actual physical store, ate it…phenomenal.”
Two years later, Burger Fi has opened its doors in Fort Wayne and features fresh sandwiches.
"100% angus, all natural, no antibiotics, no hormones, no steroids, all naturally fed, no bi-products, no fillers."
The menu also features plant based, vegetarian options and free range chicken sandwiches. While the food is better for you, the restaurant itself is environmentally friendly too.
LED lights are used throughout the building. The wood tables are made from reclaimed wood pallets.
"Our chairs around those wood tables are made out of 111 recycled plastic Coke bottles."
And the outdoor patio furniture is made from plastic milk jugs.
Catalogna says he's proud of the prices for the quality of food.
"There's nobody in our price point. Our double cheeseburger is $7.17, and our most burger is 9.97. So very reasonable, outstanding product."
