Mercer County sheriff investigating deadly crash

Police said they were called just before 3:40 p.m. Wednesday to Mud Pike.

CELINA, Ohio (WFFT)- The Mercer County Sheriff's Department is investigating a crash that left one man dead. 

Police said they were called just before 3:40 p.m. Wednesday to Mud Pike. Hunter Wycuff, 20, was eastbound on Mud Pike and tried to turn north into his driveway. That's when Wycuff turned into the path of a westbound motorcycle driven by James Hart, 71. 

Hart was airlifted to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne where he later died from his injuries. 

This is the second fatal crash in Mercer County in 2018.
