Donations needed for fire victims

The fire destroyed several apartments, leaving 26 people without a home.

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - The St. Joseph Township Trustee is collecting donations for those affected by the fire at Golfview Apartments last week.

The fire destroyed several apartments, leaving 26 people without a home.

"It's heartwarming to see other people come around these people. We've had two or three deliveries today and people are so generous," said St. Joseph Township Trustee Sarah Gnagy.

Donations needed:
**Plates, cups, bowls and silverware (can be gently used)
**Shower curtain
**Bath rugs
**Towels/washclothes
**Bedding (blankets, sheets, pillowcases)
**Backpacks
**Cleaning supplies
**Any hygiene products

Donations can be dropped off at the St. Joseph Township office 8am-2pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Or call 485-5993 to schedule an appointment.

Large furniture pieces need to go through the Mustard Seed.
