FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WFFT) - 9-11 is also a day we honor those who have sacrificed so much as members of our military.

Someone who knows all about that was in town Tuesday. Michael Durant was one of the pilots of the Black Hawk helicopter that was shot down in Somalia in 1993. The former pilot was in town Tuesday to commemorate September 11th and help honor the fallen at a luncheon at Ceruti's.

Durant says his incident and 9-11 are related. He also spoke about his book "Night Stalkers," which recounts the incident in Somalia.
