Amy Krontz, the riding academy manager, said before getting on a bike, everyone should take a course.

"Riding is serious fun, and a lot of times they don't take that into consideration. They just know the fun part of it, but it's very serious and you need to be safe, so we make sure we teach them," Krontz said.

In four days Krontz, and other trainers, can teach riders what they need to know about bikes.

"Lane position is very important. So, many times we see the riders where they're not in the proper lane position to be seen or to see others," she said.

Helmets are also important, but they're not the only equipment that could save your life.

"Riding gloves, gear, jeans, jackets, proper shoes," Krontz said.

Krontz said the class is for riders of any age and skill level, whether you're in your 20s, like Derric Caskey,

"My dad, he's had bikes for quite some time now and he kind of grew up riding, so I figured I'm still young, so I better try, too."

Or, your 40s, like Chris Fetters.

"I just gotta get my license and I'm ready to go."

The class is $299 to take, and $99 for servicemen and women. Click here to sign up.
